Submission instructions for Interesting MSK/CHEST Cases:

Abstract Submission Deadline 31st Dec 2025

Eligibility for submission:

Radiologists (senior registrars and above)

Format:

Please submit an abstract of your case as a 3-5 slide PowerPoint presentation using the following format:

  • Slide 1: Cover slide – case title, authors and affiliations
  • Slide 2: Text slide – case synopsis and final diagnosis (250 words maximum)

    This summary describes the clinical characteristics, imaging features, pathology &/or surgical findings, treatment and prognosis.

  • Slide 3/4: Figures slide – annotated images

    Please include all appropriate imaging modalities in your submission. Images must be in JPEG format and anonymized. Use captions to describe the annotated findings.

    • US should include gray scale and Doppler.
    • CT should have appropriate windows, or sometimes multiple windows for the same image slice.
    • Radiographs should include images from more than one plane when possible.
    • MRI should have at least one image depicting appropriate sequences such as T1, T2 WI, pre- and post-contrast, etc.

    Gross and histologic pathology images /report, intra operative or endoscopic images are needed (when applicable)

  • Slide 5: Literature references:

    References must come from either peer-reviewed journals or from textbooks. Use AMA style for reference citations.

Deadline for submission is: 1 December 2025, 9:00 pm Kuwait time

Acceptance & rejection

The reviewers will judge the abstracts according to the scientific or clinical value, relevance to the conference, conclusions confirmed by objective results, objectivity of statements, ethics, originality of work, standard of English and overall impression.

Upon completion of the evaluation of submitted abstracts, an ‘Accepted’ or ‘Rejected’ email will be sent to authors on 4 January ,2026.

Award:

The best cases submitted will be offered publication on the conference website/ onsite display screens.

Prizes will be awarded for the best 3 interesting cases on the last day of the conference during the closing ceremony.
